It's been 19 years since Kate Empasis arrived in the Rogue Valley. After graduating from the University of Arizona, in Tucson, with a degree in retail and consumer studies, Kate accepted a position with Harry & David which brought her to Medford. Her first day of work was life changing, as she met another new employee that day, named Mark Empasis, and the rest is history as they say.
Mark and Kate were married in Maui, in 2000. The couple has three amazing kids, Dylan, the baseball player, Ella, who loves soccer, and Nick, who's enthusiastic about basketball and soccer. Phoebe, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, is the newest member of the family.
Kate began her real estate career in 2001. She has been working as a full-time broker at John L. Scott for seven years.
"Client referrals are the mainstay of my business and I am grateful to have the opportunity to assist my clients' friends and family members with their real estate needs," Kate says. "I always strive to uphold the highest level of integrity and professionalism, and I am appreciative of the recognition I have received from my company for my success in serving my clients," she shares. Most recently, Kate received the President's Elite Award for 2016.
Growing up in Mesa, Arizona, Kate says her parents, Dianne, a teacher, and Dennis, a firefighter, instilled a strong sense of community and philanthropy in her. Kate is happy to report that her folks have relocated from Arizona to Eagle Point, Oregon, where they now spend most of their time volunteering and helping others in the community.
Kate is a member of the Hillcrest Committee, which is a women's group that raises funds to support cancer research and those battling the disease. She is also a member of the Women's Leadership Organization and enjoys spending time working as a school volunteer.
"I'm passionate about helping my clients realize the dream of home ownership, or getting a property sold so a client can move on to the next chapter of their lives," she adds.
